New Courses: Music Production and Content Creation

Since opening its doors in 2010, Collarts has rapidly become one of the most sought-after music and arts colleges in Australia.

Building on that success, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of two brand new courses, Music Production and Content Creation, both commencing 2017.

Designed to meet the changing needs of the creative sector, the expansion will offer new students the opportunity to develop skills in emerging creative and technological fields and to operate at the forefront of the entertainment and cultural industries.

Applications are now open for both 2017 and 2018, with the first intake for both courses starting on the 29th May, 2017.

Bachelor of Arts (Music Production)

If you dream of a career as a Music Producer, DJ, Electronic Music Artist, Composer, Performer, Songwriter, Interactive & Mixed Media Specialist or Sound Designer, this course is for you.

Learn practical software skills, perform live with technology, enhance your songwriting and composing skills and master studio recording techniques.

Diploma of Arts (Content Creation)

If you dream of a career as an Interactive Media Manager, Social Media Manager, Videographer, Online Publisher, Media Producer, Content Marketer or Digital Project Manager this course is for you.

Create professional-quality digital content in a real studio environment and learn how to develop digital and content marketing strategies for the creative industries.

Head of Music Production:
Tommy Rando

Acclaimed singer, guitarist and ARIA chart-topping songwriter, Tommy Rando, will lead the Music Production course, bringing his rich history of songwriting, performing and music production to Collarts.

With a career that includes working with the likes of Mark Ronson, supporting Paolo Nutini and St Vincent, and developing his music career under the guidance of Jazz/Blues legends John Scofield, Lenny Stern and Ernie Jackson, Tommy will be an incredible mentor and leader for Music Production students.

Head of Content Creation:
Patrick Price

Patrick has produced and curatedrunway shows for VAMFF (Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival) and MSFW (Melbourne Spring Fashion Week), been the creator and editor of two digital magazines and worked on concept development, branding and digital design for brands like Adairs, MYOB and Fuji Xerox.

With Patrick’s wealth of knowledge and experience, the Diploma of Arts in Content Creation will offer students with an interest in fashion, music, food, or lifestyle industries a real in-studio experience with real clients and a portfolio at the end!
