Emma is a Naarm/Birrarunga-ga (Melb)-based visual communicator with over 10 years experience in the creative industry. Her illustration and design work is purposeful and provocative, with the intention to educate, inspire and empower.
Emma currently balances her time as a Digital Design and Social Media lecturer at Collarts with her other passions, volunteering at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and SAIL (Sudanese Australian Integrated Learning) in youth and tutoring programs. She has also been lead designer and unicorn for BE. Collective Culture for the past 3 years; designing and facilitating events, programs and resources with young creatives from a diverse range of backgrounds, creating culturally safe and empowering spaces and giving young people a platform to be seen and heard.
From her experiences as a woman of colour in the industry, Emma is passionate about making the field accessible to everyone through her teaching and is constantly seeking work and opportunities to help build a sustainable, inclusive community.
