Natasha provides leadership in the areas of staff development, teaching enhancement and scholarship. With more than 20 years experience in higher education, Natasha brings a wealth of teaching expertise to Collarts.
During her early career as a criminology lecturer in the UK, she discovered a passion for pedagogy and a talent for academic development. That led her to a national role at the UK Higher Education Academy where, working with more than 150 universities across 28 disciplines, she gained significant expertise in active and experiential learning, creative pedagogies and the research-teaching nexus.
Natasha has held leadership roles in 2 large UK/Australian universities (Sheffield Hallam and RMIT) supporting staff to develop their teaching practice through professional development programs and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) initiatives. She is passionate about making scholarly practice inclusive, accessible, and relevant to all staff.
Natasha is also an experienced researcher and author with a strong track record in consultancy, grant income and publications. She is regularly invited to share her work at international conferences, webinars and via web-based media (podcasts, blogs and tweetchats).
She is best known for her work with the cross-disciplinary research collaborative Lacunae, who are currently investigating the use of epistolary methods (letter writing) to transform reflective practices in higher education.
