Penny Weber

Penny Weber is a music business entrepreneur who has run businesses ranging from music industry recruitment agencies to artist management. Penny’s management business has looked after the careers of: True Live, The Raah Project, Paris Wells, Josh Abrahams, Describe Eliza, Quadraphonic, The Grand Silent System (Shock), The Sound Movement, Virtue, Offcutts (Rubber), Lindsay Gravina (producer at Birdland Studios), Irwin Thomas (Jack Jones) to name a few. She has also worked in music licensing and film.

Penny has created, facilitated and run local and national education programs, conferences, forums, workshops, masterclasses and online seminars on business practice within the music industry. She has worked as the Professional Development Manager of a Music Industry Advisory body and as the director of the Digital Entertainment Program *Plug In Summit* and recruitment agency *Cover Your Artz*.

Penny has contributed to the film, music, digital and education industries as an artist manager and arts administrator for the music business sector. Her roles have varied from working with film composers (Cezary Skubiszewski), record companies (Standard Records RCM International/Standard Music Publishing), industry associations, artists (Jam Packed Entertainment), Venue Bookers (Indie Initiative at Metro Nightclub) and music producers (Lindsay Gravina of Birdland Studios). Her experience in film has been as a producer/ music supervisor for independent production company, Truncated Pictures on the film *Verite –* taking it to Cannes Film Festival in 2007.

She has a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Monash University, Masters in Business Administration (Executive) and Masters of Commerce from RMIT.
