David Jacob is a composer and producer of electronic music who hails from the south-east of Ireland. Having spent his teenage years as a DJ and holding his first club residency at the age of 16, his relationship with music technology started early. Producing since the turn of the century, he has released remixes and original productions on Motormouth, Gobsmacked, Raven Sigh and Industrial Strength Records among others. Although largely self-taught, David also holds an MA in music technology from the University of Limerick where he developed his interest in more experimental forms of composition utilising noise, feedback systems and transcoded data.
As resident DJ and founding member of an Irish sound-system collective and club nights, he has provided support to luminaries of the hard electronic dance music scene and promoted countless electronic music events. His recent Power Struggle EP has seen strong continued support from the international hardcore community, achieved chart positions on both Beatport and Juno, and remains one of Juno's best-selling hardcore releases of 2016. David is currently focused on hardware-based live electronic performance and DJing as part of the Rhythmic Shift collective.
