Karl Lewis has firmly established himself as one of Australia’s in demand drummers. His passion, versatility and dedication to his craft has led him to play and record with some of Australia’s finest artists such as Savage Garden, Bachelor Girl, Daryl Braithwaite, Killing Heidi, Keith Urban, Tim Watson (Taxiride), The Hampdens, Andrew Wishart (X Factor), Tweed, Winterpark, Laspina, and The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to name a few!

As a touring drummer Karl has shared many stages globally with some of the biggest acts in the world including Bon Jovi, Genesis, Bob Dylan, Lenny Kravitz, George Clinton, Mariah Carey, Boys To Men, Pink, Midnight Oil and INXS.

In the studio he has had the privilege to work along side some of Australia’s finest music producers, including Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave, Beth Orton), Chong Lim (John Farnham, Dancing with the Stars) and producer/engineer Jimi Maroudas (Eskimo Joe, Tim Rogers).

Karl regularly backs artists such as Ross Wilson, Phil Emanuelle, Brian Mannix, Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen), Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera), Anthony Callea, Tim Campbell, Bjorn Again, Blanche Dubois, as well as performed in musicals Rock of Ages, Spring Awakening and a multitude of YABC productions.

As an established composer/producer in his own right. Karl has also provided programming and compositional skills to various projects including his own band She Said Yes (featuring Tania Doko and Jack Jones), Silent Passenger and various Film and TV work.

Karl is Internationally sponsored by Gretsch Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth sticks, Remo Drumheads and Roland Music Corporation.
