Collarts x M/FW present - Style Swap & Exchange

Collarts, the Australian College of the Arts, presents 'Style Swap and Service Exchange' to swap, NOT Shop!

Transform your wardrobe by swapping your pre-loved clothing with fellow fashion enthusiasts. Bring your quality garments to receive tokens and exchange for new-to-you fashion items.

Or do you have a fashion service you would like to exchange? You can also barter your fashion skills and services, whether you're a stylist, photographer, tailor, graphic designer- find a service you need. Network with like-minded individuals and participate in a collaborative and sustainable fashion community event.

Drop off items: 9.30 - 10.30am
Swap: 12.30 - 2.00pm

Style Swap Guidelines:

• Limited amount of spaces available. Participants must register prior to the event to have the option to participate.
• To ensure that the quality of garments are of value to your fellow swapper, The Style Swap will not accept garments deemed “fast fashion”. All garments must meet quality standards- no stains, rips, holes etc.
• Participants can drop off their garments at the registration station on Saturday 26 October between 9.30am - 10.30am. The Swap will happen later that day between 12.30pm and 2.00pm.
• Participants receive tokens based on the number of items they bring/services they provide, e.g. 1 garnment = 1 token. These tokens are used to "purchase" items/services from the style swap on the event day.
• Maximum 3 garments or 3 services.
• All garments left over at the end of the Style Swap will be provided to a not-for-profit organisation

This event forms part of the Collarts x Melbourne Fashion Week partnership, presenting a range of workshops and events on fashion sustainability and the future of the industry. Head to Spring Place to visit the M/FW RE:FASHION Market, and see the exhibition of Melbourne-based purpose driven fashion designers, featuring a curated selection of their products and information highlighting their sustainable/ ethical/ values driven practices.
