Studying at Collarts is a uniquely rich and diverse experience, filled with opportunities to collaborate, connect and create with like-minded people. This journey of collaboration and hands-on learning begins from your first day at Collarts. As well as fostering your creativity, we offer a range of support services to guide both your personal and academic journey throughout your time with us.
Community is everything at Collarts. By fostering a truly collaborative and creative environment, we've seen our students grow from classmates into artists and industry peers, creating a network of support and professional connections.
We encourage and facilitate cross-course collaboration, providing opportunities to work on interdisciplinary projects and gain a holistic understanding of different creative industries. Through joint workshops, collaborative assignments, and industry events, students can leverage each other's strengths and talents to make a mark when they begin their careers.
Unlike many larger universities, Collarts provides an intimate and collaborative learning environment by keeping class sizes small. This allows students to form close relationships with their lecturers and fellow students, fostering a supportive and personalised educational experience.
Continuous interaction and networking opportunities are integral to our courses, ensuring that students can build meaningful industry connections from day one.
Collarts' commitment to diversity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of our community. We actively promote an inclusive environment through dedicated programs, events, and support services tailored for students from various backgrounds. From LGBTIQ+ and international student support to First Nations initiatives, we strive to ensure every student feels valued and empowered.
Explore our wide range of support services by visiting the Student Support page and discover how we support the unique goals of every student.
We offer a wide range of overseas exchange programs and experience-based scholarships to help prepare our students for a career in the creative industries. These include Songwriter Week at Popakademie in Manheim, Germany and a Semester Exchange with Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA.
