Paradise Festival. Acts To Catch.

Paradise Music Festival is back for its third year. Taking place this weekend atop the mountains of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, the boutique festival features a delectable all-Australian lineup.

With 14 of our Audio and Entertainment Management students taking on exclusive work experience (such as Assistant Stage Manager, Assistant Audio Engineer and Volunteer Manager positions) we’re pretty excited to work the festival while enjoying some gratifying music.

Here are the acts we’re frothing over.

Jaala

If you don’t already have a heavy crush on this band, shame. Distinctive vocals of Cosima perfectly lead the songs that pour from this enigmatic four-piece. Channeling some Hiatus Kaiyote feels comes as no surprise, seeing as their first album was produced by Paul Bender. Simply delicious.

Black Vanilla

These Sydney lads know how to get a crowd sweaty. Producers. Vocalists. Atmosphere setters. Nothing not to enjoy.

Dorsal Fins

This Melbourne ten-piece released their debut album earlier this year to some pretty excited responses. The band is made up of mates who form Saskwatch and The Bamboos. Perfect for your alt-indie-pop hit.

Good Morning

You’re going to need some loving, mellow, indie pop to soothe away the Friday hangs. Close your eyes and sway to the pleasant sounds that these Melbourne fellas send your way.

Misty Nights

DJs Danny Hotep and Salmon Barrel make up this dreamy disco duo. They’ve closed out Meredith Music Festival before and will be supplying those in clubland with some tasty treats.
