On-campus at our George Street campus, online (mostly asynchronous) or a blended version.
Digital camera DSLR/mirrorless equivalent and a laptop.
Yes, if you are an online student we’ll send you two studio light stands and lighting modifiers (softboxes etc and a bag). On-campus students will have access to our studio and equipment.
The course is designed to be able to be completed using digital photography. But for those students who prefer to use film, we certainly encourage this. Several classes are designed to celebrate creative experimentation, and these are perfect for students with an interest in analogue photography to explore this medium. Many assessments within the course can be completed using either digital, analogue or both - whatever best suits the your intended project.
Assessments are a mix of both theory and practical exercises. Because photography is a very hands-on creative medium, many of the assessments are practical.
Types of assessments:
Photographic images, exercises and folios
Written reflections, essays and critiques
Creative responses, theoretical ideas and questions - visual creative works
Presentations
Demonstrations
Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Premiere.
Your Photography course can’t wait. Neither can you.
