Entertainment Management and Audio Production Lecturer
Garth Sheridan is a Melbourne based musician, audio engineer, trainer and researcher. His work includes a range of electronic and dance music, audio sculpture and mixed media surround installation.
As a DJ and live act, he has performed festivals and clubs across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, UK and Africa. He has also performed or done sound design at Liquid Architecture, MONA, Stockholm Fringe, Spiegeltent and MidSumma. Garth’s works have also been incorporated in television soundtracks including Sunshine and Unplanned America.
He has also worked extensively in production and operations management for live music, theatre and performing arts venues across Melbourne.
Garth has taught audio production, project management, web design and music industry classes in universities and community spaces around Melbourne since 2010. He has a PhD from RMIT University and has published research on Electronic Dance Music, Angolan Popular Music and musical practice in diaspora communities.
