Jake Cleland

Jake Cleland has been a freelance journalist since 2010, covering music and pop culture for publications including Pitchfork, the Sydney Morning Herald, and the Guardian.

Beginning in community radio and street press, Jake went on to complete internships at Everguide and TheVine, later becoming deputy editor and then editor-in-chief of the latter. He currently publishes STRINE WHINE, a monthly magazine focused on Australian music.

He’s also been called upon to contribute professional insight at music industry conferences like BIGSOUND and Face the Music.
