Stevic MacKay

Stevic MacKay is a Melbourne-based guitarist, producer, songwriter, author, clinician, video-director, university lecturer and entrepreneur with an impressive and diverse track record.

As guitarist and founder of Twelve Foot Ninja, he has pushed the boundaries of alternative rock music. He and his bandmates won the Revolver Golden Gods Award for ‘Best New Talent 2014’, garnering a reputation for demolishing international stages with undeniable force, blowing away audiences at US festivals including Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, and Germany’s Euroblast.

Prior to forming Twelve Foot Ninja, MacKay was in high demand as a young session guitarist, playing on records produced by some of music’s big-name producers such as Eliot Kennedy (Brian Adams, Spice Girls, Take That) and Billy Mann (P!nk, John Legend, Sting). MacKay also wrote two guitar instructional books published by Hinkler Books entitled Simply Guitar and Lead Guitar, which have now sold over 1.3 million copies worldwide, making the guitarist one of Australia’s most successful authors of guitar tuition products.
